We collect only what we need to operate the Service:

We are based in the United States, and our providers may process data in the US and other countries. Where personal data of EU/UK/Swiss individuals is transferred, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum) offered by our providers.
We keep order and invoice records for 10 years from the date of purchase, to meet EU VAT and US tax record-keeping obligations. Account data — your name, email address and organization — is deleted or anonymized 3 years after your last sign-in or purchase, whichever is later. IP addresses recorded against an order (we log them to investigate fraud and payment disputes) are erased after 90 days, while the order event itself is kept. Enquiries sent through the contact form are kept for 2 years from your last contact with us, so a conversation can be picked up where it left off; the IP address recorded with an enquiry is erased after 90 days, on the same schedule as order IPs. Security logs and rate-limit records are kept only briefly. These periods are enforced automatically by a scheduled job, not by hand.
You can exercise two of these yourself, without contacting us: sign in and use Download my data to get everything we hold about your account as a file, or Delete my account to erase your name, email address and organization. Deleting your account does not remove the invoice records for past purchases — we are required to keep those for the period above — but the personal details on them are anonymized at the same time.
EU/UK (GDPR): you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
California (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know, access, correct, and delete your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

We use strictly-necessary first-party cookies only: cw_sess keeps you signed in, and cw_admin is set solely for staff signing in to our internal operator console. Neither is used for advertising or analytics, so no consent banner is required for them. We do not set third-party tracking cookies.
We protect your information with measures including password hashing (bcrypt), encrypted transport (HTTPS/HSTS), access controls, private storage for purchased files, and time-limited, download-capped delivery links. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you.
